Dr.Santana is a patent agent having Master and Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Syracuse University, USA. He has been involved in research and development for more than 15 years in many technological fields including radar systems and propagations, adaptive signal and image processing, sensor networking, software development, weapon systems, and artificial intelligence. Dr.Santana has a strong interest in patent legislation and believes that patent is a key tool for SMEs in the Industry 4.0 era. Unlike large corporates, SMEs generally do not have IP specialists involve in their product development lifecycles. Dr.Santana has founded Magpie Patent and Technology Co.,Ltd. to help assisting SMEs or researchers in dealing with patentability issues for the whole development lifecycles to ensure the maximum benefit from investments.
